Once upon a time, I thought I knew about America. I love history, and I thought I was fairly well informed and educated about America. If you’re reading this, and you’re a “person of color”, chances are, you were taught about a “1619 America”. What you were told and taught about America will strongly influence, if not dictate, how you see America and how you experience America.
Some people believe that what you don’t know can’t hurt you, but that’s entirely false. Not knowing the truth can negatively skew your world view, and subsequently lead to you making really bad decisions. That being said, what if you don’t know about the real America? How differently would you live your life, if, from childhood, you knew about the “1776 America?”
Check this out:
Now that you know the truth, which America would you choose to live in; the 1619 or the 1776 America? Choose wisely, because only one is true, and the truth shall set you free.
Outstanding. A full feature documentary would be awesome!
Thanks Mike. We are working on a series.
Powerful and inspirational.
Beautiful, Christopher! A friend discovered you on my Facebook page and asked about you. I sent her a link to your site and decided it was about time I checked it out for myself! I will share on MeWe and Telegram. Have a blessed weekend!
This video is but the beginning of a quest for knowledge that once begun will completely change one’s perspective of US history, societal assumptions, and the miseducation of the popular narrative in the United States.
Watch. Unlearn. Re-learn. Grow.
Agreed. We have to get in the education fight.
Excellent! They have to bury this great progress to breathe life into their hopeless and godless histrionics.
I agree.
This is an exceptionally powerful and accurate presentation. I totally agree with the primary question! Why?
At this point in American and world history there is no going back! For me personally, I am an American in every since of the word! Further, the white population is shrinking and both the Black and Latino race rapidly growing. First, we had an 8-year Black President and now a Black Female VP.
It’s well done and very powerful for a three minute video but it does not address the failure of African Americanism today.
Agree 100% but how do we begin? They’ve taken over our college’s our high school’s our grade schools. The enemy has taken over our halls of Congress our media outlets our social platforms. How do we begin?
Everything begins with you knowing the truth, and then you teaching the truth in your own home.
Excellent
Thank you Brother Joey.
Indeed, the Truth shall set you free…always
Thank you Lynn. I hope you will share it.
Look forward to more.
Thank you.
Does it always have 2B about black or white, also see the browns, oranges, & the yellow’s; I view people in a different kind of light “infra~red”
I agree. But this is specifically to push-back against the “1619 Project”
Dear Mr. Harris,
In the two browsers that I have tried, your thumbnail that appears in the comments is so large as to blot out some of the words in the comments you have made in the comment section of the page at https://unhyphenatedamerica.org/2020/11/13/what-you-dont-know-about-america-can-hurt-you/
Sincerely,
GH
Thanks for your feedback George. I will let my tech team know.
It is about time we stop racism & come together in The Lords Love. Say all life matters we need no more labels you born here in America you come here & apply 4 citizenship then you are American. !!!
Go further back in history to how the British,French &Spanish slaughtered stole land & inslaved the Indigenous people.
How can you change the perception the rest of the United States has of the Southern white people. It seems like we are the whipping dog for race related things especially Mississippi where i am from. Maybe make a video on that . Thanks for all you do
76 year old white dude born in the Deep South. I love people. I have never cared about the color of skin. God made all races on the sixth day, & said it was good. There are some black folks I don’t care for, but just as many white folks I don’t care to be around. I thank God the number is small. Racism, could be a thing of the past, if a few blacks & whites, would stop picking the scabs. Race Baiters, continue to stoke the fire, but with Gods help, a rainy day is coming soon, then, the sunshine will warm the hearts & minds of us all.
Keep up the good work, my brother in Christ.
