1619 Secrets is a joint project between
Unhyphenated America and Seeking Educational Excellence.

There has been much discussion over a project launched by The New York Times in 2019. The project was created to reconcile America’s racist past with the narrative put forth by many today.

I decided to challenge Americans to rethink this false version of the country. Our challenge is simple: how DARE you disrespect the hard work of Blacks who built this country. Our plan is to address the many fallacies of The 1619 Project by challenging its idea of America. We believe overwhelmingly that Americans will side with us, particularly Americans who happen to be Black.
