Dumpster “Dive” Life-line

Leslie Brown

We have all seen abuses to the food-stamp program, but there are outreaches through churches, food pantries and “soup-kitchens” that all can help “stand in the gap” for hungry people.

It’s maddening to see government waste, that’s why “The government that governs LEAST governs BEST”.

We can put love in action by skipping the “drunken sailor middle-man” of our government and reach people directly who are in need.

An Oklahoma restaurant owner saw a need, and did something about it, instead of looking the other way or thinking “someone else will help.”

The owner said it broke it heart that someone felt they had to dig through her trash for a meal. That’s when she decided to help out that stranger.

The owner, Ashley Jiron, posted a note on her door inviting the person in for a free meal.

“I think we’ve all been in that position where we needed someone’s help and we just needed someone to extend that hand and if I can be that one person to extend that hand to another human being then I will definitely do it,” Ashley told KFOR.

Ashley says she will leave the sign up until the person comes in.
