Right place, right time!

A man who just happened to come upon a busy intersection at the same time an “escapee” toddler did, saved the day, and possibly the toddler’s life!

Initially the police had no idea who this man was who stopped his car, got out and took the toddler out of harm’s way, but he has been identified. The man had nothing but an “Aw shucks, it was nothing” attitude about the incident.

A driver in Federal Way saved a 4-year-old boy from running into a busy intersection. Police released a video of the incident to try to identify the man to “personally thank him for his quick action.”

The video provided by the Federal Way Police Department shows the driver stopping his car, jumping out and running to stop the boy from running into the intersection at 9th Avenue South and Dash Point Road.

The incident occurred at about 4 p.m. Thursday.

The video could not be enhanced to view the license plate, police said.
