UA Success Story: Phil Robertson

Leslie Brown

Woulda’ thunk Phil Robertson taught school, or held a Master’s degree? Phil Robertson attended Louisiana Tech on a football scholarship, with All-State rankings in track and baseball as well.

You sure can’t judge a book by it’s Z.Z.Top-bearded cover! Phil holds a bachelor’s in Physical Education and a Master’s in Education. That’s quite an accomplishment coming from a poor family of seven in rural Louisiana with no indoor plumbing.

At age 28, he left teaching to begin the duck call business and multi-million dollar fortune which has morphed into the wildly popular Duck Dynasty show. Phil doesn’t “mince” his words; he calls things like he sees ’em.(1)

Formerly living the hedonistic life of sex, drugs and rock n’ roll, Phil realized he needed to turn his life around. Now speaking truth, in a like-it-or-not-here’s-what-it-is style he can’t help but rub establishment the wrong way. I don’t think G-d minces words either though, and taking G-d and the Bible out of our society isn’t working out too well for us.

If you’ve watched the exceedingly popular A&E® program Duck Dynasty®, you already know the famed Phil Robertson. As patriarch of the Robertson clan and creator of Duck Commander duck calls, he fearlessly leads his family in a responsible work ethic and an active faith.(2)

Currently, Phil is endorsing a new in a political ad endorsing both the Bible, and guns, for a nephew running for Congress. For all of the wailing the liberals do about both, they are how this country was made, and made great.
