Home for a hero.

Leslie Brown

Trista Hopkins is a cafeteria worker in Dallas; she is also mother to a 9 and 11 year old, and an Army veteran. Despite working two jobs, there just isn’t the money for the upkeep on her rapidly deteriorating home.

That’s where “Homes 4 Heroes” stepped in, and over the next few weeks, volunteers will remodel and transform her aging two-bedroom into a three bedroom home. A local apartment has donated a place for Trista and her children to stay while the work is being completed.

Home Depot, Wells Fargo, Dwell with Dignity and Rebuilding Together Greater Dallas are all playing a part to help Trista have a home in which her girls will each have their own room, and in which she is eager to teach them both how to cook.
