Many people hate guns…until they shoot one.

Christopher Harris

You know, a lot of Leftist/Regressive/Socialist minded folks are either terrified of guns, and therefore want them all abolished…or they want “the government” to be the only ones to have them…because they believe that somehow, that is the way to reduce or eliminate violent crime.

My father was in law enforcement my entire life. He had 36 years combined experience as a Federal Agent, and as a Deputy Sheriff, so I was raised around guns. I got my first pellet rifle when I was 8 years old, and I remember my dad taking me to the Rheinblick Gun Range (I grew up in Germany) with him when I was ten years old, and I was shooting his service Beretta, as well as an H&K 9mm pistol.Today, at 40+ years old, lets just say…I have become much more enthusiastic about guns than I ever was before…and leave it at that.

My wife, on the other hand, DID NOT grow up having anything to do with guns. Now my wife was not a hard-core Lefty when I met and married her…because that would have never worked…but she was far from being anywhere near as hard-core Conservative as I am. However, as someone who is always up for a challenge and doing something different, I convinced her to give firearms a try. So when we visited my family in Colorado, my father and I took her to the gun range…where my wife learned how to shoot with a big, bad .45 caliber Glock…and she was REALLY GOOD. Now she has not become a “gun nut” like I am…but she is no longer scared of guns.

So what do you think will happen if you gather up a few hard-core Leftist/Regressive/Socialist minded folks, especially the “Left Coast” variety, take them to the Los Angeles Gun Club, and let them try their hand at actually handling and shooting a gun for the first time?

Lets take a look and find out.
