Smashing Victory for AMASH

Leslie Brown

We’re all about “character”, “character”, aaand again, “character” around here. Conservative candidate Justin Amash recently called out and “owned” some haters from his own Republican Party for their lack of character!

Justin Amash is a conservative Arab American (I can’t use a hyphen or I will get fired) candidate who recently ran as an incumbent for Congress in the state of Michigan. Amash was initially elected with a flood of Tea Party Candidates and boasts 2,500 consecutive votes during his first term. When Obama was a Senator, he missed 314 of 1,300 roll call votes. Nice.

Amash has been “hated on” by a fellow Republican named Brian Ellis. This is why is so important; looks may be deceiving (ya’ think?) and we need to look past skin-color! Geez, Obama was elected simply BECAUSE of his skin color!

Justin Amash re: Brian Ellis:

“I ran for office to stop people like you,” “You owe my family and this community an apology for your disgusting, despicable smear campaign. You had the audacity to try and call me today after running a campaign that was called the nastiest in the country,”

As the Washington Post pointed out, Ellis cited a quote in one of his nasty ads from Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.), that Arab-American Amash is “Al Qaeda’s best friend in Congress.”

Amash, (pronounced Uh-Mosh) mentions the following in his online Congressional biography:

Justin has never missed a vote in Congress or in the Michigan Legislature out of more than 4,000 roll call votes. He is leading the incorporation of Facebook and other social media into his work as an elected official by posting an explanation of every vote online, and he has set new standards for transparency and accountability.

Wow. Transparency and accountability. That would be nice indeed. Watch the video below on Obama for a real laugh…..
