Not All Heros Wear Capes

Leslie Brown

Brooklyn New York resident Delroy Simmonds was on his way to a job interview when he witnessed a rogue gust of wind blow a baby stroller onto the tracks of an oncoming train.

The baby, still strapped in its stroller, was rescued from the tracks as the subway train rounded the bend, while the mother stood frozen in horror.

Simmonds a father of two, dismisses any mention of him being a hero.  He said anybody would have done the same thing in a similar situation.

It was the fatherly instinct. I have two daughters of my own-8 and 5. I was being a father. I would have done the same for any baby.

And in case you’re wondering, Delroy did end up getting the job!
