Mr. President, this man is clinging to his gun and his religion.

Christopher Harris

For the past month, between March 8th and April 6th,  on the I435-I470 corridor around Kansas City, MO, someone has been shooting at drivers. As many as twenty (20) different motorists have reported taking gunfire to their vehicles. The shootings have all occurred on those major highways and roads around the city, almost always near the on-ramps and exit-ramp. One driver reported bullets coming through his driver’s side door. Federal Agents from the FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol,Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) have been on the scene since investigating.

Mohammed Pedro Whitaker

It was just reported today by CNN, that 27 year old, Mohammed Pedro Whitaker, a Muslim Convert, from Grandview, MO, just south of Kansas City, has been arrested and charged with 18 felony counts associated with the shootings. The Federal Agents found gun shell casings near the scenes of the shootings with his fingerprints. Including the physical evidence, more than 100 tips from citizens helped authorities make their case. Additionally, Mr. Whitaker was observed buying a .380 handgun with a laser sight from a person in a parking lot. Apparently, he didn’t want to wait for a background check.

This is eerily similar to October 2002, when another American born Muslim Convert, John Allen Muhammad, along with his seventeen-year-old partner, Lee Boyd Malvo, carried out the Beltway sniper attacks, killing at least 10 people. Mr. President, it appears to me that these folks are rather bitterly “clinging to guns or religion or antipathy toward people who aren’t like them.” Maybe you should focus on them, and not on we #UnhyphenatedAmericans.
