A Young Black Conservative’s Take on Baltimore~C. J. Pearson
Guest Contributor: C.J. Pearson
I’ve refrained from commenting on the riots and unrest occurring in Baltimore right now but I can no longer hold my tongue.
These “protesters” seem to believe they’re fighting for justice, but can there truly be justice without peace?
Looting, violence, assaulting the police, and going on an all out crime spree is not only intolerable but needless to say, criminal.
These protesters are not fighting for justice and in all honesty, they’re not protesting for any positive outcome whatsoever. These “protesters” are thuggish opportunists who have managed to find a way to cash in on the tragic death of Freddie Gray.
Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “A riot is the language of the unheard “
If you want a voice and if you truly want meaningful change, demand a seat at the table, not outside in the streets causing complete unrest.
Thugs don’t deserve a voice, but true advocates for change and equality do. Y’all aren’t fighting for either.
My prayers and thoughts are with the city of Baltimore.
Proverbs 29:8 Scoffers set a city aflame, But wise men turn away wrath.
