Following Ben Carson

Leslie Brown

Just this week, Christopher Harris wrote a piece about two-parent families, and the huge part they play in providing students the foundation to attend “Ivy League” Universities; this is an example.

Harold Ekeh of Long Island New York came to the United States when he was eight years old from Nigeria; initially settling in Queens. His mother says the family specifically came to our country for the education.

Harold has succeeded in the stunning accomplishment of being accepted to all thirteen schools he applied to, including eight considered “Ivy League”.

Harold said it was a difficult adjustment moving to the United States, and also holding on to his identity, not to mention learning a new language.

The large and loving Ekeh family attends church where Harold leads the youth choir and also plays the drums.

Harold plans on pursuing Neurobiology or Organic Chemistry for an undergraduate degree, and then, on to medical school to become a neurosurgeon like Dr. Ben Carson. He is currently leaning towards Yale.
