A keeping-it-REAL dad

Leslie Brown

Fathers and daughters can have a special bond. This is good thing, if it’s a good father, because that daughter will look for the qualities she sees in her father, for a mate.

Brielle is the “baby” in a family with three other boys. Her daddy is building a special bond with her by taking her on father-daughter dates, and is teaching her the value that she holds to G-d, because that is all that really matters.

With kids, love is spelled T-I-M-E. Too often in our society, parents try to replace their shortcomings with their children by buying them material objects.

What do YOU still have from your childhood that is a material possession? Me; precious little since I’m an “Army brat” he he! The X-boxes and 8-track tape players will disappear over the years. Even that “first car” will one day be a memory.

All a “little girl” will take with her of her father when she leaves this earth, are the possessions that rust and moths can not destroy. Those are the timeless qualities of a love for G-d, His Statutes and knowing that in the end His love is the only love that will last for all eternity.

Matt. 18:6 “Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea.
