Remember when Obama said that, “His administration would be the most transparent administration in history”? Well, it musta been “Opposite Day”.
On Wednesday, the White House had a meeting with American Muslim leaders that was closed to the press. The list of attendees isn’t even being released to the public. You know, the concern with this administration is not only whom they are meeting with, but also what they are meeting for.
The “Political winds have shifted in an ugly direction” alright, and that wind carries in it the stench of burning flesh. Obama told us in 2006 in the “Audacity of Hope” exactly where he will stand, he said, “I will stand with the Muslims”.
The White House is telling reporters it will keep secret the names of those who attended President Obama’s meeting with Muslim leaders on Wednesday.
“I don’t have a list of those who attended, but let me see if I can try to extract some more information from them for you,” spokesman Josh Earnest explained.
“The president has many meetings at the White House and certainly not all of them include some press coverage,” Earnest added.
By publishing the meeting on the White House schedule, Earnest said that “we were as transparent as we could be” and pointed to a “blog post” that he hoped would “characterize the discussion that occurred.”
Sorry. No data so far.
