UA Amazing American: Alveda King

Leslie Brown

I loooove me some Martin Luther King Jr. He’s been my Twitter meme since 2012 with the quote, “He who accepts evil without protesting it is really cooperating with it.” Roger that.

Alveda King is the niece of Martin Luther King Jr., and an agent for change in her own right. Alveda is very active in the Pro-Life movement, standing up for our most vulnerable members of society.

We were given the Ten Commandments for our own good, and what Roe vs. Wade did, in essence, through the contortions of judicial activism, is take the Seventh Commandment of “Thou shalt not kill” and said, “Welllll it’s not reaaally killing because the fetus isn’t viable.”

We have continued rationalizing and “pushing the envelope” of late “term-ness” to the point that the horrifying term “post birth abortion” has been introduced into the public vernacular.

On the subject of Civil Rights, Alveda said,

Perhaps the most compelling issue of all is the life of the unborn,” Alveda says. “Faith in God, and the commitment to fulfill His will for our lives — not faith in government bureaucracy – is the key to positive action. Have faith in God!” This is the message that Alveda carries to the world.(1)

You know when we can take one of the Ten Commandments, “muddy the waters” and create “gray” where there is no gray, don’t we diminish all of the Ten Commandments? I believe we do.

“The more innocent the victim, the more heinous the crime.”

Alveda King “calls out” the Congressional Black Caucus…sweet!
