The tears in this guy’s eyes said it all to me. Tears of happiness that things ended well, or maybe tears as he imagined his own daughter in the same situation.
If someone did that for my daughter, I can’t even imagine how grateful I would be ~Craig Willis
Contra Costa County Transit bus driver Craig Willis was just doing his job, when in the distance from his parked bus, he saw two teens being cornered and charged at by a vicious dog; the girl paralyzed with fear.
He bolted from the bus, putting himself between the dog and the teens. He effectively shielded the teens from the jaws of the dog until the library staff of the Pinole Library was able to herd, and then shelter them inside to safety.
The Contra Costa County Transit system would have not even heard of their driver’s heroics had it not been for a kind and conscientious librarian who called the Transit System to let them know Mr. Willis would be a little late for his next “stop”.
John 15:13 (NKJV)
Greater love has no man than this, than to lay down one’s life for a friend.
