Muscle Car Memories
To tell you what a great dad I have, when I texted him “Happy Father’s Day” YESTERDAY on my way out of town to my husband’s daughter’s high school graduation….he THANKED me! I’m just a WEEK off, but hey, y’all have plenty of notice for it now…….so no “soap on a ropes” AMIRITE? No iphone to correct my “goof” either, so what’s say, we celebrate dads ALL WEEK!
Dads give us so much. Good dads give even more, by instilling values like integrity, work ethic, discipline and responsibility that will last for a lifetime; far longer than any “things” they may have given.
The older I get, the more grateful I am to have a father with both brilliance and impeccable character. How can we ever express or give back to them enough to thank them for all they have done for us? I think we do in a way when they see that we recognize the value of the immaterial gifts.
This is a video of a son who witnessed his dad sell is dream car when the family fell on hard times nearly 30 years ago. The car was a 1965 Chevy Impala SS 396, a “muscle car”. The search took five years as the son searched for the vehicle by the vehicle identification number on the internet. The son’s brother joined in the search and the boys were even going to secure the help of a private investigator, when one last search produced the car’s location.
Sweet video, but I wanted to warn you that the “H”-“E”-“double hockey sticks” word is in the video if you are easily offended, but,if you are “easily” offended you are probably a liberal, and are not on this site!
Sorry. No data so far.
