Captain abandons sinking ferry

Capsized ferry
Christopher Harris

A ferry capsized on Wednesday during a short journey from the port of Incheon to the holiday island of Jeju, South Korea.

More than 470 people were about the Sewol, when it sank. In a cowardly move, the captain, Lee Joon-seok, apparently abandoned the ship, leaving behind his passengers to their fate. Just goes to show you that cowardice is not limited to Liberals in America.

Twenty-four people, including five students and two teachers, have been found dead, but 272 are still unaccounted for and feared to be trapped in the vessel.

It’s been reported that several of those 272 souls who are still unaccounted for, sent text messages to their family members, moments before the ferry sank. Many of them expressing fear, most expressing love with their possibly dying breath.

Going into day two of this tragedy, there is little to no hope at this point of finding any survivors, but prayers never hurt.
